The 7th European Social Marketing Conference (ESMC 2026) will take place at Montpellier Business School (MBS), a modern campus located just outside the historic centre of Montpellier in the south of France. Montpellier is one of France’s most vibrant and fastest-growing cities, known for its beautiful architecture, lively cultural scene, and Mediterranean climate.

With its pedestrian-friendly historic centre, excellent public transport network, and close proximity to the Mediterranean coast, Montpellier provides a welcoming and inspiring setting for three days of collaboration, discussion, and new connections.

Conference Venue – MBS School of Business

ESMC 2026 will be hosted at Montpellier Business School, which offers contemporary teaching spaces and well-equipped facilities for conferences and events.

The campus is located to the west of the city centre and is easily accessible via Montpellier’s tram network. A tram stop is located directly outside the MBS campus buildings (Hôtel du Département) that will host the conference, making it simple for delegates staying in the city centre to reach the venue in around 15–20 minutes.

Accommodation & Travel

Accommodation is not included in your conference registration, however we are working with a number of local hotels to secure discounted rates for ESMC delegates. Below the hotel offers on this page there is also a list of other hotel recommendations.

Our recommended hotels are located in Montpellier city centre, allowing attendees to enjoy the city’s restaurants, historic streets, and evening atmosphere while still having easy access to the conference venue via the tram network.

USING THE METRO

The metro system in Montpellier is free for local residents, however visitors to the city are required to purchase tickets via an App - M'Ticket - TaM mobile ticket. Links to this app in the Google and Applie App stores are below.
