Submission Categories

Submissions are invited from NGOs, government agencies, academics, students, nonprofits, social enterprises, and private sector organizations.

The ESMC committee welcomes submissions in the following formats:

  • Poster
    • Ideal for sharing research, project results, or case studies in a visual format.
    • Posters will be displayed in a dedicated area for networking and discussion during breaks and a dedicated poster walk at the end of one of the main conference days.
  • 20 Minute Oral Presentation
    • Perfect for presenting concise research findings, innovative ideas, or case studies.
  • 45 Minute Discussion or Interactive Session
    • Designed for in-depth exploration of specific topics.
    • Should include interactive elements, such as discussions, brainstorming, or group activities.
  • 60 - 90 Minute Collaborative, Problem Solving or Interactive Session
    • Up to 4 sessions available.
    • These sessions must feature a clear collaborative exercise with a behaviour change focus that can engage 30 or more participants.
    • Each session runs concurrently and requires experienced facilitators.
  • 60 Minute Panel Sessions
    • Up to 3 sessions available.
    • Proposals must include a chairperson and a full panel roster.
    • All panel members must be registered attendees of the event.

We encourage submissions with a clear social marketing perspective under the following tracks:

  1. Health and wellbeing
  2. Planetary health: Environment and sustainability
  3. Social marketing for CSR and brand purpose
  4. Inclusion, integration and community resilience
  5. Innovation in theory, methods and measuring impact
  6. Mainstreaming social marketing: policy, systems and advocacy
  7. Ai, digital and technological impact on social behaviour
  8. Food and the environment
  9. Critical social marketing

How to Submit

Step 1: Download the Call for Papers document and expanded track descriptions. This document outlines submission guidelines and detailed track descriptions.

Step 2: Prepare your submission offline. Draft your abstract according to the guidelines in the expanded track descriptions document.

Step 3: Create a user account on Proposal Space and complete your submission.

  • Submissions should be managed by the primary contact for the abstract, who will receive all correspondence.
  • Additional presenters and full author details can be added during the submission process.

Step 4: Enter your abstract information into Proposal Space and finalize your submission.
