Following the incredibly successful 2nd World Conference in Dublin 2011, we are delighted to announce with the help of all our supporters and sponsors that the next World Social Marketing Conference, will take place in Toronto, Canada from April 21-23, 2013.
The Mission of the World Social Marketing Conference is to act as a vehicle to help build a global movement dedicated to capturing, spreading and nurturing good practice in social marketing, as well as increase the efficiency and effectiveness of social marketing practice at both operational and strategic levels. Social marketing is a set of evidence and experience concepts based on marketing principles that provide a systematic approach to understanding behaviour and modifying it for social good. It is a fusion of science, practical 'know how' and reflective practice.
At the 2013 conference there will be a strong focus on the relevance and application of behaviour change practice and science. In addition to new learning in the fields of health, environment , criminal justice, transport and finance there will also be a particular focus on sustainability and intra disciplinary working to achieve social good.
