COVID-19 Update: ESMC Postponed
As the global COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold, travel within Europe by October and the ability to host large gatherings such as conferences remains uncertain. After careful consideration, the conference committee has taken the precautionary step of postponing the conference.
This is a decision which has not been taken lightly and is one which we feel has to be taken for the health of the event, all who attend and also in reflection of the continued disruption to every nation, sector and industry caused by the ongoing global pandemic.
World Social Marketing and the European Social Marketing Association hope that by postponing the event, we will be in a better position to bring together a greater number of social marketing professionals to share ideas, research and best practice in the field.
ESMC postponed until 6 - 8 April 2022, with a single day warm-up event in November 2021
The conference will be held in Thessaloniki at the Met hotel, with pre-conference workshops on 6 April 2022, and the main conference on 7 – 8 April 2022. The final event programme will be announced in August 2021.
ESMC Warm-up Event & Opportunities for virtual connection
Join us for a single day "warm-up" event in Thessaloniki in November 2021 as we create a moment for the community to reconnect. This event will provide an opportunity to ensure that social marketers are able to share, learn and connect after such a difficult period for us all. The event will present a series of invited keynote speakers, case studies and panel sessions outside of the planned main event programme in April 2022, and will also be streamed live for those unable to attend in person.
