MARKETING FOR SOCIAL IMPACT UK

The University of Brighton, CIM, European Social Marketing Association and Fuse Events are proud to announce that in 2022 the first Marketing for Social Impact UK event will be taking place.

The aim of this event is to deliver a moment of engagement dedicated to exploring the key opportunities presented by bringing social marketing, brand purpose marketing, CSR and social enterprise practitioners, academics, students and the wider community together to achieve progress on not only the UN sustainable development goals but to address and tackle wider ‘wicked social and environmental issues’.

This event aims to foster a cross sector approach to help share, explore and co-produce solutions to health, social and environmental challenges that we all face.

By working together, participants will have the chance to explore, new ways of thinking, new ways of doing and have an opportunity to make new connections and partnerships.

WELCOME

We are delighted to host the first Marketing for Social Impact event at the University of Brighton School of Business and Law at this critical time when multi-sector partnerships have proved so vital in tackling the world’s most pressing environmental and societal challenges.

We look forward to welcoming fellow academics and professionals to our new sustainable building to create cross-sector collaborations to make a positive social and environmental impact towards the achievement of the UN sustainable development goals.

The event reflects our School mission to ‘ advance, support and shape responsible enterprise for a fairer society through education, research, collaboration and thought leadership’ and is underpinned by the University’s core values: inclusivity, sustainability, creativity and partnership.

We have a strong track record of working in partnership across different sectors to achieve a positive impact on society and colleagues from the business school and across the university are looking forward to collaborating with event participants to share learnings and co-create solutions to the grand societal challenges we face. We are particularly excited about the opportunity that our students have to participate in the event, through showcasing projects, co-designing solutions and being part of the event’s legacy: participating in student-staff projects to support local social change in the Brighton area.

We look forward to seeing you in May.
